Meet the Team

MORLON GREENWOOD – FOUNDER

Morlon Greenwood was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and immigrated to the United States at age 11, settling in Freeport, Long Island. Though his first love was soccer, he quickly excelled in multiple sports—including wrestling, football, and track and field. Encouraged by coach Russ Cellan, Greenwood discovered his talent for wrestling, placing 4th in the Nassau County Championships as a sophomore. By his senior year, he became Freeport High School’s first-ever state wrestling champion under coach Terry Haise’s 29-year tenure. He was also awarded a full football scholarship to Syracuse University, where he started 48 consecutive games.

In 2001, Greenwood was drafted in the 3rd round by the Miami Dolphins, beginning an eight-year NFL career—four years with the Dolphins and four with the Houston Texans, consistently starting as a linebacker. After a brief hiatus, he signed with the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL in 2010, continuing to compete at a professional level.

Greenwood also pursued music, recording under the name “Ultimate.” His single “It’s My Birthday” became the #1 independent track on rhythmic radio. In addition, he turned professional in boxing after training with Dwight Pratchett, earning an undefeated record of 3-0 with three knockouts, two of which came in the first round.

Driven to give back, Greenwood founded the Morlon Greenwood Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to mentoring at-risk and underprivileged youth. With the motto “Believe it and you WILL achieve it,” the Foundation promotes the development of socially responsible, confident, and empowered young individuals through structured mentorship programs. To date, the Foundation has reached over 3,500 youth in the past seven years, and continues to expand its impact through strong community partnerships and ongoing support.

ERIC LEBLANC – CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Eric has been recognized for his involvement in several communities. He was instrumental in                      obtaining a $100,000 grant for his hometown community center in Schenectady, New York.  He    piloted a program with the Concerned Citizens Action Committee in Syracuse New York. This program was designed to help incarcerated youth complete their education and find employment. Eric is known for his hands on approach and sharing his real life experiences to inspire a diverse group of young men and women to achieve their dreams. He has spent time speaking in the Justice Center to incarcerated youth and several inner city schools.

His executive experience includes Vice President of Operations for Envirolube Express, President of Payless Car Rentals in Atlanta, Georgia, Vice President of Americar Rental Systems as well as a Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce in Syracuse, NY. In addition, Mr. LeBlanc worked for 21 years with United Parcel Service as a member of the management team. Mr. LeBlanc is the Founder of the website Ipowerlift.net and the President of ELConsulting.info.

EMANUEL CAPERS – CAMP DIRECTOR

Emanuel Capers is an at-large member of the Paterson Public Schools Board of Education in New Jersey. Capers won the seat in the at-large general election on November 8, 2016.  Capers is the founder and director of 4th and Inches, which provides football, basketball and boxing camps, as well as fundraisers and discussions panels.  He is also the camp director for the MG52 Youth Football Camps held annually in Freeport, NY and Las Vegas, NV.

Scott Dortch

Scott Dortch is the President of Royal Pacific of Las Vegas (RPLV) a customer apparel and promotions company located in Las Vegas.  Scott has served in this role since 2010 overseeing the company’s day to day operations.  Scott wears many hats and is intimately involved in every aspect of the business.  For the previous 20 years he worked at The Order Fulfillment Group in Indianapolis where he climbed the ladder and served as the Director of Operations.  As a software developer turned executive, Scott has developed a unique perspective when it comes to business relationships.  Scott is passionate about building mutually beneficial partnerships with vendors, customers and most importantly – employees.

April Garstin - Direct Credit Funding, Inc. / Vp of Business Relations

April is a dedicated champion for child protection and welfare, driven  by a lifelong commitment to safeguarding the innocent. From her  earliest years, she has demonstrated unwavering dedication to  nurturing and protecting children, drawing inspiration from personal  experiences and a profound sense of empathy. Her journey  commenced amidst the challenges faced by her peers in abusive  environments, sparking a fervent desire to provide sanctuary and  compassion. This early exposure ignited a passion within her to make  a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children. Guided by  determination and resilience, April has forged a path marked by  impactful leadership and unwavering advocacy.

April holds a pivotal  position on the board of the Morlon Greenwood Foundation,  leveraging her expertise and passion to serve and protect children in  need. Through mentorship programs and strategic initiatives, she  strives to empower young minds and equip them with the tools  necessary to thrive. Her involvement extends beyond boardroom  responsibilities, as April actively supports budding entrepreneurs and  businesses through her endeavors in equipment financing. 

She takes immense pride in raising two remarkable  individuals who are making meaningful contributions to society in  their own right. April’s journey is defined by an unwavering  commitment to the well-being of children, a commitment that  resonates deeply with the mission of the Morlon Greenwood  Foundation. As a dedicated advocate and ally, she is honored to stand  alongside like-minded individuals in the pursuit of a brighter, safer  future for all children.

David Heermans

Dave is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career spanning corporate finance, entrepreneurship, and service. He began with NL Industries, a Fortune 150 conglomerate, where he held senior financial roles in New York City, Brussels, London, and Houston over a 15-year tenure. Transitioning to more entrepreneurial ventures, Dave went on to hold senior financial and operational positions in both Texas and California.

As CFO of a petroleum services company, Dave successfully led a leveraged buyout (LBO) by senior management. Later, as President of a medical device startup, he guided the company from inception to FDA approval, ultimately leading to its acquisition by an industry leader.

After retiring in California, Dave and his wife Susan settled in Las Vegas, where he continues to engage with the community. A dedicated family man, Dave has two children and four granddaughters, and has long been active in youth and charitable activities—coaching youth soccer for 11 years, officiating swim meets for 13 years, and volunteering, including two years as a Big Brother in NYC.

Dave is a graduate of New York University with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting, and was a collegiate athlete on the track and field team, specializing in shot put and discus. His commitment to service extended to the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served in an infantry company during the Vietnam War. Upon returning, he was selected for the USMC Track Team at Quantico, Virginia, competing nationally against major universities.

DR. NEVILLE CAMPBELL, M.D. / M.B.A.

  • Dr. Neville Campbell is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a board-certified interventional pain management physician. He completed both his medical training and his anesthesiology residency in New York City at renowned Mount Sinai School of Medicine and State University  of New York at Downstate respectively. After completion of residency training, he returned to  Mount Sinai Hospital to complete an ACGME-accredited pain medicine fellowship program,  in the Department of Anesthesiology. Additionally, Dr. Campbell holds a Masters in Business  Administration degree with a concentration in Health Care Management. 
  • Dr. Campbell has received numerous appraisals and letters of commendation from his patients for his ability to effectively listen while providing comprehensive care using a multi disciplinary approach. An approach aimed at treating the whole person– mind, body and spirit. With his empathetic demeanor and outstanding skill set in the clinical practice of pain  management, Dr. Campbell considers himself the ‘go to guy’ for the simplest to the most  complex pain conditions. Employing multimodal strategies, minimally invasive therapies and  spinal implantable devices, he aims to improve his patients’ functionality and quality of life. 
  • Dr. Campbell is actively involved in community service both locally and internationally. He currently serves on the board of directors of a non-profit organization that leads mission trips to underprivileged countries. Dr. Campbell is married with three children. His hobbies include  reading, meeting people, and global volunteerism.

Akindele Kolade, MD

Dr. Akindele Kolade is an accomplished author, medical professional,  psychiatrist, and entrepreneur. Born in Nigeria and raised in the remote  village of Nung Udoe, he overcame tremendous challenges to pursue his  dreams.

Jonathan S. Dean, DDS

Dr. Jonathan Dean received his Bachelor of Science from the University of  Virginia. He then went on to attend the University of Maryland School of  Dentistry on a full academic scholarship, which holds the prestigious  distinction of being the first Dental College in the world. He also served  as an Officer in the United States Air Force, where he completed advanced  training in prosthodontics and periodontics. Upon completion of his  military service, Dr. Dean entered private practice and has operated with  efficient and ethical business standards that support his clinical excellence  since 2004. 

As an award-winning dentist, Dr. Dean practices all aspects of adult and  pediatric general dentistry including dental hygiene, fillings, crowns, and  emergency dentistry. In addition, he has extensive training in cosmetic  dentistry including dental implants, bonding, veneers, teeth whitening and Invisalign straightening. He firmly believes that the best clinicians  are diligent in improving their craft and, in order to provide the best care  for patients, must engage in a philosophy of lifelong learning. Dr. Dean is greatly concerned with educating his patients about their oral  conditions and potential procedures to optimize their health. His  compassionate approach to helping patients feel comfortable and  reducing their anxiety is of great importance to him. 

Away from the office, Dr. Dean enjoys spending time with his family, and  friends, community volunteering, playing guitar, physical fitness,  motorcycle riding, and traveling.

Dr. La Shon Fredricks Ph.D.

Dr. Lashon Fredricks Ph.D. is an Assistant Principal, Mentor, Mother, and Wife. She has a passion and gift for working with young people. Her passion for youth has afforded her the pleasure of working with youth in the areas of education, mental health, probation, and mentorships. She lends her hand to assist several small businesses and non-profits in securing funding, branding and growing their businesses. Lashon believes in lifelong learning and has a passion for educating and serving underprivileged and underserved populations.” Lashon has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, a Master’s Degree in Special Education, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Theology. Lashon is currently located in Las Vegas, Nevada where she enjoys traveling, family, and football.  

Throughout this journey, she was able to raise two beautiful contributing members of society.  Similar to April’s life, her daughter is living her dreams currently running several business in NYC and her son is finishing his remaining years in high school before he heads out to pursue his dreams in the world!  

DEBBRA BALLARD – ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR

Debbra Ballard is an exceptional woman with lots of life experiences. Her diverse range of business experiences began when she was a teenager. She helped her family run three ranches spread across many states. 

She holds degrees in art and travel as well as in accounting. However, her passion for animals inspired her to work as a veterinary technician for five incredible years. She also became a paralegal in Barbara Tavs for two years before spending some time in the Las Vegas events design and management industry. She worked as a business consultant too, wherein she helped to revamp and reorganize businesses. 

New and challenging opportunities led her to become a medical esthetician. She also ran multiple high-end spas. In 2006, alongside managing her spa boutiques, she added the titles of executive producer, director, and distribution executive to her list of career highlights. When Debbra’s last spa closed, she transitioned to a full-time career in producing video  content for all types of industries. 

Aside from being resourceful and competent, Steve White describes her as the “Get-it-done girl.” She asks direct questions whilst listening attentively up until one has finished expressing his thoughts. Then she does her deep dive research and provides a bunch of unexpected materials, starting with a comprehensive competitor analysis. It’s most likely that Debbie’s fault isn’t found yet, other than she always gives more. Just as Steve Shaw sees her as a kind, positive, and generous person, she typically provides more effort and more results. It is always more than what is expected, which is hard to keep up with at times.

James Newkirk

James Newkirk is the founder of Crestline Insurance, where he leads a dedicated team focused on helping businesses protect their assets so they can prioritize growth and long-term success. With over 20 years in the insurance industry, and 17 years specializing in Business Insurance, James brings deep expertise and a client-first approach to every partnership.

Since launching Crestline Insurance in 2014, he has remained committed to delivering tailored solutions that align with each client’s unique needs. Based in Las Vegas, James is not only passionate about his work but also about giving back to the community.

As a proud member of the Morlon Greenwood Foundation Board, James is excited to channel his drive and experience toward supporting local youth and families, helping them thrive through the Foundation’s impactful programs.

Martha Robles

Martha Robles is a passionate community advocate and seasoned logistics professional with over 26 years of experience in warehouse operations and team leadership. Her journey in service began in high school as President of the Latino Club in Long Beach, California, where she organized charitable initiatives, fostered cultural inclusion, and spearheaded mentorship programs for non-English-speaking students. Her leadership raised funds to support local church food drives and rewarded student volunteers, reflecting her deep commitment to helping others thrive.

As a single mother, Martha pursued higher education while working full-time, earning two Associate of Applied Science degrees in Web Design and Multimedia Authoring, along with a certificate in 2D Animation. She is currently pursuing further education in business administration and grant writing to expand her impact.

Professionally, Martha dedicated 26+ years to DHL Supply Chain, rising to manage a warehouse of 50+ associates. She served as a certified equipment trainer, safety champion, and quality assurance expert, demonstrating a strong focus on operational excellence and team empowerment.

In recent years, she has transitioned into the field of business consulting and project development, working alongside mentor Tom Akers at Akers Enterprises, LLC. In this role, she has contributed to the success of multiple commercial projects, including securing state-awarded tax abatements totaling $3.6 million for two companies. Martha’s lifelong drive to uplift others continues to define her work, both in professional arenas and community outreach.

Tamra Trainer

Real Estate Broker. Licensed in Nevada since 1995. Tamra is one of the  few Brokers whose main concentration is in the local “Luxury High  Rise” market.
